  1. Haha funny, it's already painted. I think silver rocks.

Tomorrow, I'll start upholstery, with this olive green waterproof material OSH or the Surplus store sells, to make my seats and door panels. All my templates are done and the fabric is beeing washed as we speak to make it more flexible. I also want to include some pockets/pouches into the doorpanels so i would have a place to store stuff. I was inspired by the Steve McQueen jacket, that's been reeissued by Johnson Motors.http://www.johnsonmotorsinc.com/men/ISDT.htm
BTW: I'm not affiliated with this company nor would I buy a $400 jacket, it just looks cool.
A tech thread will follow soon.

It's a neat looking rod, now you just need a big old 1950s "Nash" grille badge to put on that tractor grille shell you're using.

Don't take me wrong, I like the car! Definitely different. Any idea what Nash model or body style the cowl came from, or you just got the cowl? I'm just curious as to what it may have been before any alterations, being an AMC fan and all (AMC originated from Nash -- the Nash/Hudson "merger" where Nash bought Hudson out...). I suspect the car started out as a Light Six or Special Six coupe or cabriolet, but if all you started with was the cowl it could have been anything.

The engine sounds great! About the only thing that would make it better, even better than a flathead Ford, would be a Nash "Twin-Ignition" straight eight or even six. Eight cylinders, 16 plugs and wires, ON ONE DISTRIBUTOR CAP!! Dual points though. I've only seen a T-I six in real life -- a big cap with 12 plug wires sprouting from it is damned impressive, I can only imagine 16! The 12 wire cap is about the same diamater as a V-8 HEI or TFI cap.

You know, if I read more of the posts BEFORE replying I bet I wouldn't have had to come back and edit my reply -- THREE TIMES!!! ;>
