hi everybody new to the forum I bought a 56 Plymouth Savoy with the poly 270 back in August and I picked up a offenhauser dual carb intake last week along with 2 Stromberg 97's I'm new to the multiple carb scene and was looking for help on where to start with the setup any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated Sent from my LGL34C using Tapatalk
A lot of the Chrysler industrial engines used the 2X2 setup. There is probably a good reason they don't show up on street cars. I do recall a few Furys during the late '50s with dual quads that ran pretty good.
The later 2x4 polys ran them progressive. I don't think I would run a pair of '97s on a 270 progressive though. I would run them straight up and jet accordingly. @aaggie is correct you normally saw the twin 2 bbl or twin 1 bbl setups normally on stationary motors. But a twin Offy would probably be a pretty rare piece. May do real well on a stockish poly, it is certainly worth a try. Well I never saw the intro but I don't care if you're good enough for @40fordtudor you're good enough for me. Welcome aboard keep us informed of what you are doing and enjoy your stay ever how long it may be.
really appreciate the comments and help guy's. it's a bit of a learning curve but I hope I can get it figured out Sent from my LGL34C using Tapatalk

any idea on jetting, one carb has .045 the other has .043 should I switch it to .045? Sent from my LGL34C using Tapatalk
Marine engines had a 2x1, two-piece manifold, option available. I would not suggest a progressive setup as it will run lean in the opposite cylinders. For those in need, dmarv is an Offenhauser dealer and can supply the 2x2 and 1x4 intakes. .
