Put something like "multi carb set up" in "Search", a number of Threads on dialing in carbs.

A lot of the Chrysler industrial engines used the 2X2 setup. There is probably a good reason they don't show up on street cars. I do recall a few Furys during the late '50s with dual quads that ran pretty good.

Saw your intro---welcome to the HAMB.

  6. The later 2x4 polys ran them progressive. I don't think I would run a pair of '97s on a 270 progressive though. I would run them straight up and jet accordingly. @aaggie is correct you normally saw the twin 2 bbl or twin 1 bbl setups normally on stationary motors. But a twin Offy would probably be a pretty rare piece. May do real well on a stockish poly, it is certainly worth a try.

Well I never saw the intro but I don't care if you're good enough for @40fordtudor you're good enough for me. ;) Welcome aboard keep us informed of what you are doing and enjoy your stay ever how long it may be.

.[/QUOTE]2X2 is rare, Edmonds being the other maker. truck & Ind hemis had 2X1s instead of 2X2.

Marine engines had a 2x1, two-piece manifold, option available.
I would not suggest a progressive setup as it will run lean in the opposite cylinders.
For those in need, dmarv is an Offenhauser dealer and can supply the 2x2 and 1x4 intakes.
