Event Coverage Any HAMBERS going to SEMA?

SEMA has been on my bucket list for a long time(I lead a boring life) and I finally get to go. We are leaving tomorrow morning. I don't know how much traditional stuff will be featured but I'm really excited to go.

 

I've missed it the past ten years, but got a badge this year. Heading up to Phx tomorrow to visit my son all day, then up to Vegas Wed morning to see the show, and visit an old friend that night.

 

I have been contracted to transport Jim Priebe's beautiful 32 to & from the show this year. It will be on display in the Stewart-Warner booth.I arrived Sunday morning from Plano, Tx. SEMA was also on my "bucket list", so included in my price quote was a p*** to the show! If there are enough Hambers coming, maybe a get together could be arranged?

 

Is this one of those "whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" things I've heard about?

I will be there to take care of some business, then walk my legs off.
If I see something interesting, HAMB interesting, the place is full of interesting **** I will post.

 

good shoes,small back pack, good camera to take pics to post here. some parts on display are For Sale, and can use UPS desk to ship stuff home.

 

I`ll be there as well--for the first time in 25 years....I know I will be overwhelmed.....Let`s try and get together. Maybe on Wednesday or Thursday? I`ll be there until Friday evening....

 

A couple of the Strange Days crew will be there.

 

I am staying at the Treasure Island (about a mile from the convention center) & have the truck & trailer parked for the week in a secure lot, but would not have a problem walking or taking a cab to a get together or there are some good eating places here! For me, it would have to be Wed. or Thurs. because Friday is hectic. I will be reloading the 32 right after the parade. for Texas

 

Not going this year...and bummed...you guys should do a meet up at Frankie's Tiki Room....very cool place

 

I sense a little favoritism, someone named Loveoftiki telling us to meet at Frankie's Tiki Room! Seriously though, I will meet anywhere. Since I spend so much time transporting, I do not get to attend any of the Hamb meetings. This picture is for you Loveoftiki!

can't make it this year, bummer! went last year it was awesome.
tip; if you get thrown out of your hotel and you end up staying in some hoarders tree house, don't throw your cigar **** into the yard, vegas is dry and flammable.

 

Is there anything to see if you don't have a p***. My sister is getting married Thursday and didn't know about the show. So I'm getting stuck with high room rates because of the show and can't go. So I'm hoping there will be stuff running around so I can still get a eye full

Just back to the hotel from the first day. I barley finished the performance room today, lots of walking! tomorrow on to the next building!

Just a couple more pics. I really enjoyed AC Delco's new line of bedazzled starter and alternators. Plus one of my ugly mug with Courtney Hansen, she was genuinely nice.
