1954 Chevy 210 . chopped 4 1/2 inches top painted candy metal flake green . 1968 327 bored 30 over 10.5 -1 comp with big cam, th400 ******, late model S10 rear end with 3:0 gears on C10 trailing arms, mustang II front suspension with all tubular controlled arms and wilwood brakes, full air ride ,with accuair e-level, 64 t-bird interior sitting inside. Plan is to get the door gl*** sorted out first.. Then.. Wipers, proper remote setup for doors and trunk.. Basics to make it an actual "driver". I'm an upholsterer, so it will get a full interior. Body wise, French headlights, taillights and antenna. And paint. It's a great start!
Nice lines on the chop and the slanted B pillar looks like it's moving standing still. Great start for a project, can't wait to see what you do with the inside.
Yessss! A driver, can't wait to see how she comes along. Great looking car as she sits, now just make her yours with your own touches.
My 210 had a '68 327. One HELL of a motor! Just be careful with putting your foot in it! That was my problem and I ended up blowing a head gasket that lead to an engine with 7 moving pistons, a hole in the block AND the oil pan! Still drove on and off the trailer!
Thanks for all of the comments! I love the car!! I broke the driver rear hard brake line chaining the axle down to the trailer. Well.. got a new line made up a couple nights ago, bled the brakes and took it for a drive. Hot damn! It is such an awesome ride! The 327 and the whole drivetrain is great! Car hauls *** and is a kick in the *** to drive. I can not stop smiling! I'm building a driver. With that in mind, I think I've sorted out the goals for the winter.. First thing is getting remote door and trunk poppers working. Then... Brake booster setup.. The car already has a manual dual circuit master cylinder on the firewall. I don't love the way it was done. It will need to be reworked. I want to re-wire the car.. Thinking AAW harness. Modern steering column. While I love the look of the stock column, I want all of the stuff a modern column gives, especially with respect to wiring. I like the look of the Walton bolt in column setup. Aftermarket heat/air/defrost system. Drove the car again this morning to get it weighed for registration (I bought the car out of state). It is such a kick in the *** to drive!
First thing I'm sorting out is door and trunk access. I bought an setup, and then immediately regretted it when I realized it is Autoloc. Hopefully I don't regret it. Otherwise it's a $150 mistake. I modified the door release so I could put an actuator straight below it. I used my MIG welder because I haven't wired a receptacle for the TIG in the new shop. I do much better with TIG.. Thinking I'll make a sheet metal bucket to sink the actuator into the door so I don't have to work around it when it comes time to build door panels...
