I could use a little help from the HAMBERSs to ID the calipers/brakes on the front of my latest acquisition. I'm in the process of getting this old '48 Austin g***er up and driveable.
The front calipers were stuck - one closed and one open. I have them working again but in the interest of safety I would like to replace them. I'm not sure exactly what they are. I think they are VW type 2, but the images I'm seeing show two pins retaining the pucks where as mine have a single pin. The bolts holding the calipers to the bracket are approx 2 1/4" apart. None of the local auto parts stores stock the VW calipers so I could compare them. Here are some photos to see if anyone recognizes them. Thanks.

I have the same setup on the front of my "T bucket". Early seventies VW.

Hey, thanks for the info. HAMBERs come through again. I had something similar on my '27 T roadster many years ago but I just couldn't for the life of me remember what they were. Alright, I'll try to get some and get this thing driveable.
The master cylinder is a strange deal too, a big old cast iron ***embly with the pedal and pivot built in. It seems to be working fine. The rear is Olds/Pontiac with drum brakes. Other than a seeping axle seal all's well back there, so far.
