Hot Rods 1931 Model A The Harbor Kustom's Coupe, A "Bonneville/Rolling Bones" style build!

Had to push it outside again today to get a look at the new hood top profile. Also need to move my English wheel to try my hand at making a roof skin. More on that once its wheeled out (hopefully it works). Anyways here's the picture from a little bit ago.

Got the seat built, back and the bottom will be foamed and upholstered in black vinyl with pleats. However I also thinking of diamond tuck s***ching with smooth borders, the diamonds will be sallow(depth wise) if that makes sense ?

What a fantastic old school build! I just wish I lived close by just to watch and learn more from a master of metal! I do know and understand the hard work and dedication it takes to make a build happen. I just always tried to get something done every day.

Laidout53, thanks for sharing your build (so far). I really love the proportions of the stretched hood which, along with just about everything else is near perfect. Did you have to 'roll' your hood-top louvres to fit the curve in the hood? Those louvres are so sweet.

thanks guys! I'm making progress, took a little time off from it but I'm back at it. I've got the wood kit kit down and test fit.

 

On a side note I've been getting some Ink work done too, I think you guys will like it. All hot rod related...
