Technical What car do these handles come from?

Does anyone have an idea what car these handles were used on?

I don't recall seeing those before. They look dangerous.

 

Go to the AACA forums website and ask the handlesman. He will probably know.

 

May not be automotive. I wouldn't be surprised if they were from industrial doors or appliances

 

Yep, I'll second that. The square shanks are pretty long for an automotive application. Could even be old door handles from a house or business.

 

Something coachbuilt, HJ milliner used something similar here in the uk. Long shank p***ed through the ash framed door.

Yes, it shows two lefts and two right side.

..and the shanks are twisted/bent from the old wood frame doors when they had loose wood and were binding.

 

They definitely look to be from a high end car.

Those I-F items are similar, but fatter and shorter and do not have the scallop on the underside.
