I have been enjoying the thread. What you are doing is amazing. I wish I had the time, money, inclination and skills to do what you are doing.

Thank you everybody. this is on hold until spring... I did what I could in my ba*****t, but I need to finish the project in my garage now.

I appreciate the kind words, but I wouldn't blame money or skills. I have less into this than the laptop I'm writing this message on. I cant afford a proper english wheel, pullmax, or planishing hammer either, so i made them myself. its all in motivation. I have no idea what im doing, I just put my time in and made tons of s**** along the way.

Cool. I have found a libert machine that could be adapted to work like a pullmax. I'm looking for discussion on making dies.

It's on hold for a while. I am producing a small number of bun panels if anybody's interested in the mean time.

Those panels look really nice, but what I need are turtledeck sides. I don't think anyone is producing them.

  22. Those panels look great! Sure would save me some time as mine are roached. How much are they?

you could even go with the flat "ch***is only" style firewall. they look cool and give a bit more engine room. 26 27 firewall 001.jpg

I'm in the same boat - though I'd could probably get away with just the upper corners of the turtledeck sides. I think mine was stored upside down for a few decades, it's rusted out in some strange places...
