Technical Proper Disposal of Old Gas

Advance and Autozone recycle oil. Change your oil and add the old gas to it. Old varnish gas is not good for a engine.

 

i have an old loader tractor, international b414, that will run [not always perfect] on old fuel. i used to do it in my DD but i burned up a fuel pump and i think it was from tiny rust particles. the tank is plastic and when i cut the pump apart i found brown. the old tractor is easy to drain if it became a problem all i have to do is pull the line off the pump and put a five gallon drum under it.
the oil recycling guy told me it was fine to put it in the waste oil.

 

The people who take our waste oil at the dump have a probe that they put into the oil to test for gas. If there is any in it they won't take it.

 

If it is not too varnishy you can put it in your house or garage fuel oil tank if you have an oil burner. Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank to dilute it 20 to 1 or more.

 

Put it in a pump sprayer and kill instantly any weeds around your property........

 

I use old gas as parts cleaning solvent.

It works great!

 

Last spring I mixed a gallons of oil with 2 gallon of diesel and sprayed my weeds, on the gravel drive. All I had was greasy weeds. Never killed a thing.

 

because you added oil........and- diesel =a lil oil to boot? gas=good or bad will destroy weeds in a matter of minutes...........just don't let the neighbors catch on. Hence the sprayer, it beat's round up hands down.

 

Since you're in CA, it's ok to dump it over a big pile of old tires and light it up.

 

set it out to evaporate in the sun. Takes about 20 minutes here in Texas.

 

I forget that you have a smaller gallon. Around here a gallon would do 10 cuts, average 22 - 26 times a year......

My own lawn would almost use a gallon, it is 3/4 acre.....
And my wife thinks that I am doing it now.........boy this HAMB is addictive

 

I burn old gas and whatever else in smudge pot when outside on a cold day.

 

Better yet poor it over his roof, and when he unlocks the car with his remote... stand back.

I have about 2 acres.
I have mixed some old gas in with fresh in my 1955 IH tractor. It burned it fairly well with a slight loss of power. It's traditional, has big and littles, dull red paint, and a brodie spinner knob on the wheel.
