    Hello !

    It's Tennessee from FRANCE, Paris,
I sold my 58 bel-air and I bought a new car this week, Mercury Monterey 64, 2 doors.
I have a question about lowering kit, I found on web some lowering kit, 3inch, but all with 2" wide leaf spring, and my Mercury has 2 1/2" wide leaf spring....
If someone has an idea, or website ... ?
I found this kit too on speedway :

    Have great day,
    Thanks

  4. Tennessee perhaps you can go to a spring shop and just get the proper width springs and have your spring de-arched while you are there. then lowing blocks of you car is not low enough and you are golden.

Condolences by the way. I am sure that things are not easy in Paris right now for anyone and I do hope you didn't loose anyone in the attack.

My girlfriend's 51 Chevy had an odd sized leaf spring that standard blocks would not fit, so a friend of ours made her a set of blocks from box tubing and bought some new U-bolts in the correct width. They weren't difficult to make. You just have to remember to correct for pinion angle.

Cool looking Mercury, I've always liked those.

    Thanks,
Can someone tell me if this parts fit good ?
2 1/2 block so I think it's ok for my wide leaf spring ?
