Today Miss Linda and I got the '40 out, mid-November here in New Hampshire and in the 50s. Must be localized warming from all the gasbag politicians that are flocking here. Anyway we put some Seafoam in the tank, topped it off with gas and went for one last putt for the year. We use a U-Store about a mile from the house now that we rent a condo. Hard to get used to but there are worse alternatives. Slip the '40 out, put the daily driver in whenever we want to cruise. Got some projects this winter to do with regards to carburetor and linkage, most of the work by previous owner(s) was great but once in a while I shake my head at something dumb. Now that I have respite care on Thursdays for the missus, I'll be able to go to my buddy Albie's and with his Bridgeport build what I need. Friends with equipped shops are an old guy's nirvana!

Mine doesn't have a piece for the hood. I've seen a demo on a clear plastic you apply with water, may use it on the leading edge or the rear fenders. It was nearly invisible on the orange OT Chevy in the demo, wondering how it may show on the black paint.

I think we can start some Moriarityism's.....

You know you're cramped on space when induction selection is a complicated formula that factors not only performance but storage height available.

You know you have too many vehicles when you're asked to be a spokesperson for Stabil, but it's not available in 55 gallon drums.

29 degrees here this morning, glad I got the coupe done yesterday and safe for the winter. Here are a couple of coupes. You know I like both these wheel treatments , can't decide so maybe will put together a set of steelies for mine this winter so I can switch occasionally.

A retro '40 convertible, shades of back in my high school days! Bzck when they had car shows on high school athletic fields and the cars were displayed on area inside the running track. There was a curb and it took some guys from the football team to stand there and lift the rear of these taildraggers over the curb. I can remember some cars having casters on the rear bumper back then. Photo by Tom Hardy.

I believe the Red Convertible is a 39 or 40 Mercury?

Good morning, here's a red coupe to brighten the cloudy day here in New England. Expecting snow flurries by Sunday they say.

And I do. I'm actually surprised that I like it with so much brightwork removed, but what's left adds just the right amount of sparkle. A really clean and good-looking '40.
