Hot Rods Ford flathead camshaft id.

    I have this camshaft in my 59ab. Need help to identify it. The picture is taken in a mirror.

    As a start, the 21A designation used the Ford PN prefix that identifies the "short" 1942-48 cam. That cam became the universal replacement cam with a small ****on available to make it fit pre-1942 "long cam" motors.
    Almost all aftermarket cams for pre-49 flatheads use that blank, and of course the applications in the speed catalog are usually 21A and 8BA to identify the things to the customers.
    Ford didn't generally stamp designations like that...markings on stock cam, if any, would likely be cast on in between lobes, so I think your cam is likely aftermarket something hand stamped to identify it on the parts rack as a short early.
