Going to do Pigeon Forge in April. Any of you regular attendees have hotel / motel recommendations? Thanks in advance.
I'd much rather stay in a cabin in the mountains with all kinds of amenities then a motel. Thats what we do when in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.
Govenor's Inn actually in Sevierville (about 3 miles from Pigeon Forge) has served me well in the past and has had reasonable rates.
I and/or whoever goes with me usually get one of the little 1-room camping cabins on the south end of town. River's Edge or Foothills RV Park are where I keep my stuff and take a shower. Much cheaper then a room usually, like $50-$60 a night. The motels jack their rates up quite a bit during the car show weekends!
Thanks for the thoughts so far. Hit it around 7 or 8 years ago, just p***ing through. There's a stretch of hotels / motels that was just fantastic. Found a really nice small motel at the end of town that was great (lost the contact info), that actually had a room available, but would prefer to stay in the center of the festivities this time. You could just walk motel to motel parking lots for a great variety of cars and people. Will bring the car this time.
..............................I think there's a lot of later model cars, muscle cars, 4x4 trucks, etc.
Don't forget the diesel 4WD pickups and r*tr*ds! If you're looking for traditional cars, save your money. Oh yeah, the swap meet ****s, also.
