This is my first attempt at a build so go easy guys. All the work here minus the interior tin work was done by me in my 2 car garage while working a full time 60 hour a week job.

I picked up a 29 body back in March.... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448032440.544333.jpg

Started on the body work. Strengthen up the body with some 1x1 square tube and started cutting out the rot.

Mocked up the body to get the stance right. Also mocked up motor and tranny. Tranny is a TCI super street fight turbo 350.

Moved on to building the floor. The car is heavily channeled. Again used 1x1 square for the floor. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448033055.320042.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448033088.757979.jpg

Chopped her 3 inches. Wanted more but didn't want to sacrifice visibility too much. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448033266.813909.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448033292.147540.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448033319.753922.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448033338.738692.jpg

One of the things I'm most proud of is the frame horns. Drew up some horns and had them cut out on MarsFab cnc plasma cutter. Cut different diameter pipe up and burnt it all together. Pretty happy with how it came out. On to the bodywork. I now officially hate sanding. Lol. I used SPI products for all the primer and paint. Barry at SPI was very helpful. Don't see why anybody would complain at you. Looks way better than my shade tree neanderthol "Mongo fix Mongo hit with rock make bent metal flat" procedures. All looks awesome to me. Keep it up.

Took the car down to MarsFab to get the interior tin work done. Chris Marshall does amazing work. He normally builds some crazy off road rock crawling buggies but his work definitely translates over to the hot rod world also! He is about halfway through the interior at this point. Can't wait to get her back. Here is where I currently am with the build. 18. I like a guy that plans ahead and gets it done. When did you find time to sleep? Well done.

go easy on you??? OK I'll try to tone down the enthusiasm... that kinda looks alright, you know... in the sunlight...

Or- that is a really great looking ride! Can't wait to see the rest of it. Looks well done.

  21. One question, where is your son gonna ride?..no back seat. HRP

  22. that is some strong-ass steps in the frame!
All that in less than 1 year? nice job. took me allmost 2 years to get my '30 tudor on the road. I chopped 4" and it is a little hard to see stoplights but not too bad. Your 3" chop will be fine.

They are diamondback tires. They are 255/70/15 in rear and 155/80/15 in the front. These tires are BG Goodrich Radial T/A's that diamondback adds the whitewall to.
