That looks great! Larry will be asking for wheel and tire sizes in a little while. Bob

Same here.......I want to be able to drive mine, and being a middle aged old fart with a back problem, chopped is just not a practical option..........as much as I adore the look.
My 3w will be stock height and fenderless to begin with.........but, with the aim of adding the fenders at some point in the future. That chopped fendered 5w in the OP's 1st post is :cool:

I do too, as I like the whole package cept one thing, just something about the extreme rake (which I'm usually cool with) and those large dia. rear tires, the proportions seem a little off, almost cartoonish(sorry), the way the wheel openings look overfilled.
May just be the closeup shot and the way the black wheel and tires blend together.
Or it could just be these old eyes this morning.
Another cuppa joe may change that.
Ok, if it was sitting in my shop, I might just say it's "perfect".

I take it all back, after looking at the other photo, it looks fine.
    Or was it the coffee.

I think you were right the first time Denny. But all the black in the wheel wells may be deceiving. Regardless, that is a top-notch beautiful build. And, a haircut will change the overall final presentation.

I think I have to agree. The rear wheels and overall tire diameter are too much along with probably too short front tires.
I'm not sure, but as it sits now it looks too extremely raked and cartoonish in appearance.
Nothing like the rendering I posted which is perfection.
As is the car itself in the build thread I posted.

A coupe more pics. The idea Henry had is to fill the back wheel well with as much tire as possible. The front has to come up just a hair and the rear has to come down a little bit more. I love the rake and the look the car has.

I like it too, a lot, but maybe I'll pretend to be a "fence crow" until after the haircut.
After seeing shots from other distances/angles, I'm softening my position.
Man would I like to see your car with the tire/wheel combination that Danny(hot rod pro) of Brucesrodshop.com has on his coupe.
    Hint, hint.

Just wondering about front tire rub on the fender bead, how is that controlled? Narrow front axle with the wheels inboard a bit more, or steering stops a bit longer. Turning circle of a fenderless vs full fendered car must differ. Bob

It has a narrower front axle to move the tires inward and it is moved forward 7/8ths of an inch from stock. Here is a closer pic of the front end.

I agree, was my first impression of that car. Cartoonish is the word that came to mind.

    Something looks "off".
Maybe it's the size of the back tire when compared with the front tire.
It looks HUGE. Throws proportions of the car "off". Too much
    "rake" isn't always good.

You know, that's the thing about this. You can lead them in the right direction but they won't always learn and follow and in the end the result can often be a cartoon car.
Steadfast is a good shop but so far things are just not quite where they should be.

It's a bit of a shame, because done right there is nothing sweeter or more classic hot rod than a 32 5 window.
This is definitely not cartoonish and I get excited every time I look at it. :)

Let's just make a direct comparison here.

Which one looks better and screams classic hot rod ?
You know where my vote goes. :)

Looks like a bit much rake to me also. But, OP said they aren't done. Most important thing is OP gets what he wants, he can't please everyone.
