Don't know why we don't see more wide white/Moon discs, its a great look. (no more go kart questions, by the way!)

This is the only '40 model I like better than my coupe.

  4. I like that look too. I would like to throw a set on my 40's WWW but they are on chrome wheels and I don't want to drill holes in them.

  5. ...................................Is that Sawzall?

  6. ................................A wise decision.;)

  7. Yes.

  8. I'm not usually a fan of chopped '40 Coupes but, that Burgundy one above brings it off perfectly.

Over the years I've only seen a couple that were chopped and looked good upon completion.
IMO if the rain gutter is removed the look is totally ruined.:eek:

  12. My weekend to work, drove the 40 in again. Getting a bit chilly in these parts, it was quite frosty out there this morning. :)

what a great view, some of Henry's finest! Standard or deluxe, I love both flavors.

this showed up, posted from a CL advertisement, a '40 Ford limo, supposedly built by military and one of eight. Who knows? Located in AZ, and a $35K pricetag. I have never seen one before, have seen ambulances though which are stretched '40s too. Used to be a red ambulance that some club in NE had, came to swap meets and was pretty "swaybacked".

  22. My friend Dan Henke's 40 Standard

Real deal built in the 1950's hot rod

324 Olds powered, was flathead powered has had a Olds since 1956

    Last painted in 1959!

The car had a stock 303 was missing the speed equipment when Dan got it.

Dan built the engine in the photos first photos

He has since built a much stronger 324 with the following-

    3x2 Edelbrock intake

    N.O.S. 97's

N.O.S. Harmon & Collins roller cam

He also replaced the 40 transmission with a Cad/LaSalle adapted to the torque tube.

The car now ride on 15" Merc wheels

Either iteration that tudor is one FINE machine! A real survivor that displays how real old school builds stand the test of time.

That '40 is reeeeally low -- it's pretty startling when you see it in person.
    40StdTudorLo!.jpg
It's parked here with Ryan Reed's '37, which is also supernaturally low. Reed may have built the '40, I'm guessing.
