MOUNTED MINE NEAR THE FUSE PANEL INSIDE THE CAR - MOST INFO I FOUND SAID MOUNT THEM CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE LAMPS - DONT KNOW WHY THAT WOULD MATTER?!
Mine are mounted just in front of the battery. The whole point is to make the feed wire as short as possible is the way I looked at it.
