ya mind emailing them to me too? i have one in the impala and just got a spare that i might try to go through at some point... jvleasure@yahoo.com thanks, man.
I don't have any exploded pics of Saginaws, they usually just wear out. But here's an exploded view of a mopar automatic.
now, squirrel, that's exactly what i had pictured in my head as i waited for my dial up to show that picture. exploded view, yessir.
I searched google images all over for a pic of a blown up manual trans, couldnt' find anything...so that's what I came up with. I'm sure there's a neat story behind it, notice the guy's injured ankle! but it's just a pic I found on the internet, it's not my tranny.
I have a 73 Chilton Motor Manual with all you need has other great details. If your local libruary does not have on i will copy mine and send it to you
Just for the record those 727's and 904 Torque flites are bad about coming apart . It usually starts with a driveline breaking or an axle giving up and the sprag overrevs in the trans . Mopar racers know when you overspeed one to take it apart and replace the spag. It can also happen if you burnout in 3 rd gear and it tries to downshift coming out of the water hooking up . Yep it usually takes your foot ,covers the windshield with atf , and puts metal peices in the headliner.
