I love this truck but, I've got some muscle problems that aren't going to get any better. It's just getting to hard for me to drive. It's a small cab and I need more room. It ****s but what are ya gonna do.

    In a nutshell:

1930 pickup (***led as 1930 ford truck, Michigan ***le in my name), A frame, all ford steel cab (late '31 solid roof) and box. Cab has a 36 Ford dash with working speedo and CoViCo steering wheel. I have decent Black door, header and kick panels from a truck that was restored in the late 70's that come with the truck. BLC 682 J headlights mounted on stands made from a cut down Model A light bar. Front shock mounts are shortened F1.

    Ch***is:

Original Ford Model A frame, this was an almost rust free frame, very nice especially the exposed areas. Un-Boxed, Gradual Z and stretch (7 3/8" stretch to allow use of 1940 spring behind rear axle, this area is boxed) in the rear. Model A front and rear crossmembers.
Rear axle is 3:54 ratio open drive, ford banjo, 40 Juice brakes, Model A rear spring.

Trans crossmember, clutch & brake pedals. master cylinder and clutch linkage to transmission are all modified early Ford F1 parts, fully adjustable and trouble free.

Front axle is original Ford Model A dropped 3" by Greg Haynes/Anson. Spindles are 37-41 round back with correct right and left hand juice brake backing plates.

Spring shackle bushings are a combination of early Ford pins from the inside of old bushings and bronze bushings for a much more active suspension.

Front wheels are original 1940 Ford 4" wide with 500/525-16 Firestones
Rear wheels are original 1941 Only 5" wide wheels with 750-16 Firestones
Original 1940 Ford Standard Hubcaps and Deluxe Trim Rings.

    Engine:
1957 283, .030 over, 1957 dual quad/fuel injection heads (staggered valve cover bolt holes) with new valves, guides, seats, springs. Staggered bolt Corvette valve covers. Vintage Fenton tripower intake with 3 Stromberg 97's with vintage Frog Mouth Scoops and vintage Segal progressive linkage. Vintage Mallory Dual Point Distributor. This is a front mount only engine, no side mounts or provisions for them. I used a vintage Hurst mount including the U shaped spacers that came in the box when you bought the mount to use in the SBC /Model A swap.

    Transmission:
39 Ford top loader, new bearings, synchro rings, seals. I put a different gear set and complete internals from an approx. 20,000 mile trans 6 months ago. These parts were almost like new. This top shift has been converted to open drive using ALL Ford parts. Bellhousing is a vintage SpeedGems piece and the pressure plate is the correct 1950 Mercury unit used for this conversion.

Original 32 Ford commercial Grille Shell (one of the nicest I've ever seen) with 34 chrome trim added. Great care was taken to use vintage parts, it's all mid to late '50's style. It runs and drives (2 summers and thousands of miles) but is a project that needs finishing.
