That body style speaks volumes with out any paint. Personaly, I like 3w coupes one color, so it don't get the 80's look. It would be like a swimsuit model wearing a trench coat. This is the only pic I could find for inspiration. images (2).jpg

I agree, but that is killer lookin, and was thinkin Maroon on the black won't jump @ ya either. It needs an interior and was wantin to do oxblood/maroon guts any way. Thanx for the inspiration.

I've always loved scallops I think your idea of ox blood and black will look killer maybe paint the wheels to match with a traditional Wimbledon white fire wall. Great now I have to go out in my garage and get busy on my 37 so i can someday make paint decisions. If you do paint it please post pics Thank you and Congrats on a Great car!! Jim

  15. I like the look the car has in one color, I know that's not any help. If I would do anything add some pinstriping to it. Bob

The reason you are having a difficult time deciding what it 'needs' is because it doesn't need anything. That is your good taste trying to tell you something. Listen to it!

edit: I am only referring to the exterior.....I like your plan for the interior.

I think turquoise and magenta swoopy flames with a beige tweed interior would be a fine addition.

I would sweet talk one of the artists into scrawling you out some ideas.

If it was mine I would make them long and thin, maybe two colors to give them some dimension.

Well, these are both 1/25th scale, but nothing like a snap-kit to serve as a "paint mule!"

Maroon pinstripe scallops, long, thin, bout 4-5 per side. Easy on the hood. Or, gloss black scallops w/maroon stripes on flat black. Or not...

Don, the only scallops I like are from the sea not those on thirties cars. Just my opinion. Your cars have always looked spot on without them.
