What would a running rolling ch***is, all the sheet metal but the hood and body, and five 21 inch wheels be worth for a 30' model a? It is pretty much rust free.
For a running roller, I've seen people ask anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand. Without pictures it's really impossible to tell. Plus, what year is it? I know all frames are the same, but the wheel size changes for one thing... need more info. Wasn't MercMan just complaining about this kind of vaguery?
Sorry its a 1930. I will try to attach some pictures later on but I have an offer of $2500. I was just wondering if that is about average.
from what I've seen, that's above average. I've come across maybe ten and follow the values (cause I want to sell mine when I hot rod my coupe) and they range from $800-$1500. If you have an offer to buy and you don't have to ship it, you did good.
FWIW, I saw a running & rolling A ch***is go for $1100 a couple months ago on eBay. Looked like somebody harvested the body for a hot rod and sold off the rest. Remember that in the nation-wide/international market, location plays a role in how much people are willing to pay. Hope this helps.
sell that thing and dont laugh too hard... people struggle to get $1000 out of em unless they are vERY clean and you are lucky enough to find a restorer... ask the guy if he needs any 33 wires, i have 5 of the 17s gonna be extras... ahahhahahaaaa
Depends on where your at. I would never say one price is laughable anywhere. there are so many variables. price is good ol fashion supply and demand.
Also depends on whether a really legal ***le theat matches the frame and/or engine numbers goes with it.
I've been following these because I am one of the few people who actually wants to buy a complete running Model A drivetrain without the body. The complete running ch***is with wheels on them usually do $1000-$1500 (the 21" wheels are a plus if they're nice) and it sounds like yours has fenders on it which also have some value. If you put what you got on eBay I'd bet you'd get 2K for it if it's nice. So a $2500 offer is very good, I'd say let it go. Unless your car has an overdrive on it, a juice brake conversion, or a clean matching ***le. Those things will up the value and the price. Still, even with those things, $2500 is good money. I'd let her go for that. That's exactly the kind of package I'm looking for right now. I need 28 fenders but beyond that it sounds like just what I need.
Squablow- If you're still looking, lemme know-I've still got a complete A ch***is-motor, drivetrain, brakes, radiator, steering, etc. Sorry, not trying to hijack....
Thanks for all the input! He is getting it Friday! This means my project is really about to get started!!!
