I am pretty sure the dates are Friday and Saturday July 14 and 15th. That's when I made my Hotel reservations. So I hope those are the dates. Will let you know for sure I have a call in with someone who will know.
awesome! I can't wait for this years show! I wanted to go last years and missed it, and from all the photographs I seen I am really pissed about not going.
For the past few years( and I believe all of them) the show has been the 3rd saturday in July, and the Friday before. I would think that it would be the 14th and 15th
And now we know. The Road Agents Car Club has collectively decided to take a breather on producing this years Hot Rod Rumble in July. We have a little over a half dozen members in the club and as many of you already know, a lot of us are involved in outside projects and jobs that have become increasingly successful and are taking priority. We felt that if each member could not put in 100% to make the show the best possible, that it would be in everyones interest to forego it for this year. However, the good news is, we have already secured next years show dates. They will be July 20 & 21 2007 at the same location it has always been. Mark your calendars now! True enough, Jan. The hotel manager is probably thrilled this show is cancelled. That parking lot was destroyed. Especially after Jim's transmission exploded in the t bucket
Is this some kind of sick joke?????????? This is the best show in our area and now its canceled! I appreciate the hard work involved in running it,people think it's easy. I have an idea! Luke, Could you invite other clubs or rod volunteers to help put it together?Maybe it's not to late? I bet plenty of us would help you out.
\Hey Luke: I know where you are coming from, Our own club is having the same issues and decided not to run our one day smaller event up here in MA this year (Bearing Burners Cruz In)because we simply didnt have enough people to do shit. It was a mighty tough decision- we WANT to do it , but cant without people. We tried thinking about adding another club to help but people who havent run the show before can sometimes cause MORE work than less ya know? Last year I put over 2000 hours into a one day 'parking lot' show- I can only imagne what you guys have to do for your event. Take the year- we will miss you but realize sometimes YOU need to have fun too. Feel free to come to the Syracuse Nats show - I am an Asst Director for the event and can hook you up woth some good hotels etc and maybe even a prime burn out or two n front of 15, 000 people... PM me for info if you want. If you need help next year (and it isnt conflicting with Syracuse) count me in to help.
