Projects tail light help

Question for anyone that has converted there lights to LED or other vehicle wiring

I took a 1992 s10 blazer wiring from front to back for everything horn, lights etc. Now Question is those are usually set in and turn to lock, The belair has 3 springs and a metal prong that hold the bulb and plug in place. I trashed the others due to being 6V, I still have all pieces for the tail lights. Anyways so should I take s10 tail light lock ins and JBweld or whatever the plastic to the belair tails, I don't want it to look like a hack job. So looking for ideas if need pics of what im talking about I will post them, Thanks in advance for ideas, tips etc.
