I'm wondering if that donut is the same as the sort used on Cad front mounts in the forties...if so, i believe it is still available. If not...maybe a '48 Ford donut could replace it.

  3. Get some neoprene rubber of the proper thickness and cut one out yourself.
Use a hole saw for the intitial cutting out, then put in the freezer overnight for drilling to the proper bolt size.

Have your clamps and jigs ready to go when you take it out of the freezer, they come up to ambient pretty fast.

Alternatively, you could cut a mount biscuit out of UHMW.
    That's even easier then rubber.

Fwiw - I made and ran neoprene biscuit trans mounts for my 50 Plymouth coupe that look very much like your sample in the pic and no problems.

Neoprene appears to have the same durometer (hardness) as original Ford engine mounts - 48 biscuit style and the Plymouth biscuits.

I also run UHMW motor mounts in my 32 roadster, no problems there either.

    Thanks,

It is not the same as a 1948 ford engine mount, this one is hollow.

I just did some thrashing around on the NAPA site with '47 and '49 Cad stuff, which I think is likely the same donut you need. Their listings on older stuff are very incomplete, but when I did a keyword on engine mount some generic donut labeled for "Power equipment" popped up for like $3...it did look a good deal like the Cad one! Anyway, I pretty sure I have a modern PN for this somewhere...will chase it tonight.

the 55-57 chevy car and 55-59 chevy trucks use 8 donuts of two different sizes on the front motor mounts...yours looks like maybe the same size as the smaller one...but if you told us the dimensions it would be a big help!

I looked at the mounts used on the old trucks, they are a bit too small.
