Hot Rods Amp gauge coversion to Volt meter?

    Where do you get this "fire" thing?
    A blown fuse doesn't cause a fire.
    A blown ammeter doesn't cause a fire either.
    What causes a fire is a high current circuit with no protection like a fuse, circuit breaker or an ammeter with an inadequate operating range. As soon a any of those protective en***ies "trips" the problem of a fire goes away.

    have OT '67 Fairlane that has a factory alternator with a factory ammmeter plus, an aftermarket volt meter

    Check out a company called Redline gauge. North of San Fran Bay Area. They convert gauges for stock panels. Did one for a 65 SS last year, which came out nice. I will look for the info to add here.
    I sell a pretty cool little digital volt meter for $10 that slides in the cigarette lighter.
