I'm putting an early F100 rear (Dana) e95-22-med-02.jpg e95-22-med-02.jpg in my '30 Essex Sedan. In order to install it with lowering blocks (spring under design) and get it as low as I can to the scrub line I'm looking to flip my u-bolts. Basically so the nuts and the end of the bolts aren't below the scrub. This is the piece I'm looking for. Needs to fit 2" springs and a 3" axle tube. I can't find the correct size on line so I'm hoping there is a specific application that the vast knowledge of the HAMB would know about. Thanks so much!!!

Thanks Squirrel. Never would have thought of that or that they had 2" springs.

  4. Another option would be to weld up a "hat" section lower plate that would wrap around the sides of the spring, the nuts for the regular U-bolts would end up next to the spring instead of below it.

Well Rich your idea might be the way to go. I've looking for almost a half hour now and can't find a stock 55-59 Chevy saddle anywhere. They are always in the diagram, but not available

you have to get them used, look in the hamb classifieds see if anyone is selling old truck suspension parts. I don't think I have any extras.
