I thought I had posted this a long time ago on this thread, but I guess didn't! Built this for a 50's style bar in Linden NJ, back in 88 or 89. the bar, named "Fenders" was owned by a real car guy, Charlie Thuras, and was a great place to hang out. When the NJ Renegades car club lost it's outdoor venue for doing it's summer car show, we decided to have an indoor car show at Charlies bar. We called it a "no Show" car show, and just had a bunch of easels with boards put around the place, and you brought a picture or pictures of your car to tack up on the boards, instead of bringing it out in the nasty Jersey winter. Gave out trophies and prizes, just like a real car show, and got to see all our friends in the middle of winter. When Charlie was planning this place, he asked me to build him this half a 57 Chevy for behind the bar. Used mostly repro pieces, and some original stuff that wasn't available. Built on a 1 x 2 tube frame with 1/4" plates to lag it to the wall.
I like the '57 Chevy wall hanging, and I like the indoor easel car show. Good idea for foul weather parts of the country.
This 55 has been up here for at least the past 15 years. It's on highway 46 just north of Amery Wisconsin. I've never been closer than the road to it, but it's ROUGH! There really isn't fender skirts on it, it's just a solid piece of galvanized sheet from the back of the door to the bumper, and the chrome strip down!
This one may have already been posted, but it's pretty neat. It's a 1932ish Austin. It's been there for a long time but it still looks pretty good. It's on Main, just south of downtown Fort Worth.

A 1957 Nash Ambassador Classic, apparently named Bart, on a stick in a small town Montana. These were the end of the line for the Nash Ambassador (although the name lived on with Ramblers and AMCs) and 1957 models are quite rare.
I see this parked along Rte 9 in Berwick, Maine...the tow truck used to sit out in a field up the road for a number of years; I have a framed picture of it with my sons next to it when they were little. There is also a Model A perched on top of a building just up the road from this. I'll have to get a picture of it sometime.
The Hot Rod Café in Post Falls Idaho is no more....sad but true. Just North of CDA on 95 is Pegasus auto salvage, several on the roof. Years ago here in Vegas I knew a guy that bought a 29 Pontiac OFF a pole from a wrecking yard and turned it into a neat UNSTOCK sedan. (UNSTOCK is the same as the S..... R.. word so many dislike)
This old thread needs some new life, how many more cars or panels have turned into signs ? Maybe even someone has turned a sign back into a driver ??
In Hampton NH there is a Morris Minor on a post (don't know if it is still there) and in Rochester NH there is the pink Caddy in front of a diner on Route 11 heading towards Farmington.
