were gona shoot candy apple red over the flake on top. the bottom will be gloss blk. we were up till 3:00 AM last night laying down the gold flake! alex
I knew someone with a dash like that , and they had to make a little cover for it . They couldn't drive it during the daytime without being blinded .
Big thanks to Alex for busting *** on this last night. (or maybe I should say this morning) It really shines out in the sun. View all the pics here: http://50chevy.com/photos/dash I will post more pics when we get the candy shot. OW yeah these pics are before Alex shot 4 coats of clear.
Hey Aaron, just saw the flake job! Man you better have some dark sun gl***es if you plan on driving yhis in the day time! Looks killer!!!
oh man, your dash looks ****ing great. im really digging this. what color are you doing on the exterior, and is it going to be two tone, or one? For those that need, check out Gambino Customs in San Jose. Alex is going to be painting my Caddy as well. Good guy and everything i've seen that he does looks real nice. Now I just need to figure out colors... -scott noteboom
Killer! I love flake! Two questions: What size flake? Can you see the base coat still or does the flake completely cover?
Again, nice set of pics showing the flake process. I love the background pics on your build up. You made some great changes to the original car and can't wait to see it in person. B-Frz
