Hey! I was wondering how you were coming along. That looks familiar Obviously, I think it's bad ass. I'm jealous of your chrome and trim! I think I'm just going to shave all of mine off.
Mine's going to go to...the trim that is...it's kind of good from far, far from good! I'm having tranny and water pump troubles, so I have to get those worked out before I can do any cosmetics!!! Thanks PRESKRYS.
Eventually it will be bagged...can't say that Happy Hoppy's car isn't killer when he has it layed out!
As a kid ,I can recall saying I'd never have a four door car. Horse pockey! That's all I've driven in the last twenty years and I appreciate the convenience. Besides, the windows on my black Subaru Outback Limited Edition Wagon are tinted so dark (how dark are they?) I think the Sopranos may start driving Subarus'. I need all wheel drive here in Colorado four days a year, but no one can tell you what four days those will be and I have bracket bike, so need four doors and a wagon to haul my trailer and junk to the track. No excuses are ever needed for driving a four door.
Well got some body work done... All the trim is gone, roof is sanded... Hopefully will be in for paint soon...but I have been saying that for at least two months now.... Anyway...I wanted to share the latest progress pics...
Awesome! I put a new rear passenger quarter panel on mine and, at the same time, I went ahead and decked it and started filling trim holes to keep me from losing my mind on the patch panel. Running without a rear bumper has kind of grown on me- I like the way it looks! I guess I'm going to shave the handles since I'll have the door apart to put the bear claw latches in. I'm still undecided about nosing it. What method did you use smooth the hood?
No idea...a friend of mine is doing the body work. All he did was weld the hood together, then after these pics were taken, he braced the hood underneath to keep it from flexing.
Hey ShaggyCRMC, I share your excitement too! I just cut my springs and I'm totally happy with the end result. I cut 1 1/2 coils. It doesn't ride as bad as I thought it was going to ride. My car is sitting right on the bumpstop though.....
hey shaggy could u take a pic from the inside of your hood and post it? Would be interesting to see how your buddy did it!
Hey Shaggy, that is one cool 4 door. Did you align the car or did someone do it for you? I have a 54 chevy 4door/210 with two in drop in the rear. I am trying to drop the front now and 1 coil only droped the car 1/2 inch.
Dropped it and left it...it goes straight down the road so I called it good. I went two coils, and it sits almost right on the bump stops.
