is there a company that makes repo's? I'm looking for '56-? Packards to use on a Chevy Belair..but they seem to be hard to come by and everyone who has them for sale on here seems to be asking $2,000+ for them and theres no way I want to spend that kind of money into lights so any help would be appreciated!
The taillights to which you refer are exclusive to 1956 Packard Clippers and all 1957 and 1958 "Packards" made off Studebakers in South Bend except 1958 Packard Hawks. The actual red lenses have been remade from the original dies, not reproduced, but the castings themselves, you have to buy what you can find and have rechromed. BP
yeah I've seen the lenses on ebay but wasent sure about the rest of the assembley..guess I might be better of trying to find an old Packard to use for parts
It's such a drag that all the good parts have to be expensive. Ah well... I guess that means back to the drawing board for me; time to get creative!
Last time I looked repro lenses are available from several sources and maybe 1 guy is making the frames.
