Just wanted to let you folks know that "RAT FINK'S REVENGE!" The Custom Monster Collection, will open in Austin,Tx on March 10 at the new gallery owned by Steve Wertheimer and the Continental Club.....it is at 1313 S.Congress and from what we understand, Steve and co. are busy getting the space ready for the show....the show will consist of anywhere from 50-70 customized 12" Rat Fink statues from artists such as us,Pizz,Dirty Donny, and more....
Official poster to come any day now, but we hope to include the web poster here asap.....we won't be doing the Chronicle ads after all, but are focusing on the poster art to get ready in time....please spread the word about the show...we are helping sponsor the exhibit in part, along with Quiksilver, and the plans are for a book on the statues and a showing at Petersen in LA this summer......
Poster to come, lots of talented folks are involved, check it out if you are in town....
    Thanks,
    Johnny & Kali

Good question....I'm not sure of the duration, I believe David and Steve will make that call soon...hopefully it will run long enough for some of you Round Up attendees to be able to check it out....

Sk8- the plan is for us to try and be there at least for a few hours on opening, but it depends on Kali's recovery speed.....have Demerol, will travel,though....

    More info soon.....

Roth movie premier is March 11. Don't know if we can get in to that, but Choppertown is being shown the same night.

Yeah, some of the early ones look really NEAT-OH.

Wish I could go, but my Rat will be there.

    Nice work on the poster!

Can't wait to see all of 'em...

    There's a poster,Jeem?
Where did ya see that...we are still wrapping up the poster over here, hopefully later today....can you post the image? David is doing the newspaper ads himself,we think...
Also, very curious to see what your RF looks like...we don't have anything to do with the artist list,so it is great to see who is actually on the roster....
Wonder just how many HAMBers are on the list?

Well, David sent out SOMETHING, that looks like a poster, maybe it was a flyer? Not sure if it was meant to be posted yet, but there is art with RF and on his belly, "intentionally left blank" ur sumtin' like that. Just assumed it was your doin'. Maybe it was an early draft? Heck, i don't know.

Oh yeah... that was David's revision of our original Austin Chronicle ad (below). We are hoping to have the color poster done later today with any luck at all... the last few weeks have been a blur due to massive deadlines. More info soon... thanks to everyone showing interest and support!

Heya folks - Here is what we came up with for the Austin exhibit poster. Lots of artwork with a bit of photoshopped model boxes for details... It took both of us to turn this into a poster, but Kali worked her hinder off.

Let us know what you folks think!

The plan is to put some around Austin for promo...we will have the usual signed prints, and the ones Quiksilver is printing should be even larger....
Let us know if you have trouble getting one....

Well, whoever DOES attend, we hope a good time is had by all... as for us, the docs say no traveling for Kali for a while, so somebody save us a piece of cake...

Looking forward to any photos from the event... thanks to the board for the chance to post this thread.

I am working on it. The plan was to move the show out on March 20, but I am lobbying to keep it thru the Round Up. All of the pieces are starting to show up and let me tell ya, these RF's are bad ass. Coming in from all over the world. The ones from Asia came in today and those cats have incredible talent and a warped view. Many great artist right here in the old USA are contributing also. I am floored that we are getting the debut of these pieces. It's a great way to kick off the new addtion to the Continental. I will take pics of everyone of them once we put the show up and post 'em. Your gonna flip. If at all possible get here this weekend or next week and come by for a visit. This exhibit is incredible. Never thought I could see so many different renditions of the same character, but I guess that's what BD was all about.

    Heya Steve,
Just checked in for a minute.....once we finished the poster,David wanted to art direct, then Quiksilver wanted to art direct, but I guess they all got it ironed out...they were going to do oversized posters for this event, and the last we heard, they were going to get rushed out to you from Huntington Beach....

Much appreciation to you and your crew for putting so much into this show to make it a reality.....
