Hot Rods '39 Ford Keys and Locks

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by CTFuzz, Dec 21, 2015.

  1. Did '39 Fords use the same key for the door and the ignition switch on their cars? I need to have keys made and I have locks from a donor car.....................I know many cars needed two keys.

back when I had a 51 merc in 1970 I had all the locks and ign matched... i had only an ign key... (but it took a locksmith to set that up)
now I remember (i think) the ignition and the doors were keyed the same to begin with but the trunk and glove box were different.
