    Hey everyone,

well im new here and building my first 1930 model A sport coupe, I just picked her up a couple days ago and have been sanding away all the paint/ rust spots. it only has 2 minor cancer spots on the lower part of the quarter panels so im pretty excited about that. the plans for the car include a 350 small block with a turbo 350 trans which leads me to a couple questions.
    1. what rear end should i use and drive shaft?
    2. do the 1930 roadster doors line up? if so i wont have to cut my door that are in near perfect shape.
here is a pic of the car when i first got her

ill post more pics with the progress later.
    thanks
    Lou

Welcome to the HAMB Lou! Great looking little Sport Coupe, I hope you plan on running the fenders. I like fenderless cars but there just aren't enough cars up there with fenders on 'em. Either way they look killer though. For a rear end the 8" out of a Mavrick should be about the perfect width, Falcons and Early Mustangs are pertty close too. I believe Roadster doors are too short to fit properly on a Sport Coupe. There is someone out there that would pay GOOD money for those doors if they are in good shape so you may look into selling the ones you have and picking up some rough ones to cut up and even have some cash left over!

thanks for the info, I was hoping the roadster doors would fit, i guess i wasnt so lucky. the fenders are actually off the car right now to give me more room to strip the body, ill be cleaning up the fenders soon and then decide if i am keeping them or not, they are in great condition for being original so if i do sell them they will make someone really happy.
