Customs 49-50 Ford clock delete cover removal?

Anyone ever take a clock delete cover off a 1949-50 Ford car dash. I have one on mine that came with the car. It looks like it snaps off from the rear.... then again it looks liker it could snap off from the front. Anyone ever do this? I want to reuse it on another dash so I do not want to ruin it.

 

just snaps in. pulls out from the front.
