Does anyone have on there ride the American Racing series smoothie or reverse smoothies. If so could you post some pictures? thinking of putting my wide whites on them. Wanted to see how they look.

I've got American Racing chrome smoothies (with baby moons) on my '51 Shoebox. Click here for a picture. I'm not running wide-whites though... more of an early-60's vibe. The wheels are super-high quality - a good choice if they give you the look you want.

I've often wondered what they would look like w/o the center cap. but i bet they have 2 bolt patterns.

If Denise (hotrodladycrusr) sees this thread, I think she has some nice shots of Big Olds sportin' wide-whites and chrome smoothies (at one point during the rolling stock selection process). Maybe she'll even post here! (I never get tired of seeing that car).

Really nice shoebox, Murph. What are your tires (bias, radial? brand?)?

Thanks 50F. The tires are Firestone radials (gasp). :D

Sorry, no shots without caps but they are a single pattern.

mine have 2 lug patterns, 4.5" and 4.75". They will not take stock ford caps and they look a little better with the chrome blasted off and painted.

we cut some of the back lip off 1942 ford caps, put the moon center in & welded them together & they pop right on & fit nice & tight.
