Technical 1951 GMC Paint Code help

    A friend of mine has a 1951 GMC 100 truck, we see the serial number tag in the drivers door jam but can not find a body tag or anything with the original paint code. It is a green, I would say lighter green and sorry no pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

    ..those trucks didn't have paint code tags, get an original brochure.

    Seems like most of them were green, others blue.

    Thanks for the help. We found a chip book with '52 colors, guess we'll have to pick one and run with it.

    No paint codes. I know that Chevy AD Trucks were painted a standard dark green and all the other colors were a extra cost option. So I ***ume that the same applies to the GMC NDs. Jim Carter Trucks has good info on the colors and they sell the paint. Another place that carries original color paints is The Restoration Shop. Check out their Auto Color Library.
