Up here in Canada not always the easiest things to come upon -- been lookin on ebay and wanna get a couple for my brother for his b-day -- have a really nice one I got in Vegas when I was there for viva from a guy who sold oversize ones just for car seats -- anyone on the board have a good source? Would rather deal with someone here than ebay.
Try 661-944-2299, It's a phone nubmer in the US I think. I don't remember where I got the number except I think it might have been the web. The prices were pretty good I though thats why I wrote the number down. I'll be calling this spring some time also. Good luck.
man I live practically in mexico. I got all the hookups how many you need? and where do you want them shipped I can even take a credit card over the phone. Depending on color and size anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars each.
I have a great source for mexican blankets. I get all mine at WALMART. They only cost a few bucks a pop too.
Hmmmmmm? I live very near the Mexican border and oddly, I've been having a hard time finding Canadian Bacon! Perhaps we can work a deal?
Thanx for the help guys I'll contact side valve and do up an order. The only ones we can get up here regularly are the navajo type ones that arent very colorful. As far as the bacon goes there's lots of it up here -- but we just call it back bacon eh!
Check out the junk store "San Francisco". They are in all the large shopping malls and sell mexcian blankets for $8 each. Don bought his there. Color selection is a bit limited but it's certainly one option for you.
Tuck might could hook ya up widdat on a serious note, flying j truck stops has em, and i think you can order them from thier online store as well... they call em "falsa blankets" T
You can get 'em in Canada. Contact www.harrisonshotrods.com I just bought a couple from Nick Harrison
GREAT. Mexican blankets made in CHina. I don't care how cheap or convenient things at Walmart are, there's just no worthy a trade off. I'll have to dig around. I know of a few family businesses in Mexico that are really trying to grab ahold of the blanket popularity. Another thing to try - I've noticed a lot of Hot Sauce specialty stores carry authentic blankets for cheap. I know this may seem weird, but I go into enough hot sauce stores to know.
I'm not gonna get in an internet battle. But the bottomline is the budget argument only goes so far. And people are too easily prone in coming with it, when it deals to getting stuff cheap from oppressive sources. If you can't afford it, you don't need it. Or search a little harder. That being said 20 bucks for a Mexican blanket is high. Hell I can get them around here from one of the Mexican groceries for like 10. I leave my pulpit, now.
Those are the Navajo ones I was talking about -- not my favorites -- and if you need more dont go to San Francisco go to Liquidation World or one of the Super Flea markets -- last time I was on the one at 111TH AVE those style were only $4.00
