Just bought this 1953 Ford step van.Aluminum body SWB.The registration states 52 but the serial # is P35J,what i understand the second number is year.I haven't got it home yet, working on that.Side doors are a bi-fold not a sliding door.At one time it was used by the FAA has decals on it.It has been sitting for 12 years and ran when parked so i hope it will start. The tires are still holding pressure and the OG spare is behind the p***enger seat.
Look forward to get streetable for next summer..Also looking for manuals, brochures and parts. Its all there but a few trim items.

The step van has 17.5 tires has anyone done a conversion change to a 16" wheel and tire.Finding brake parts, steering parts any one have a source?
Inside door handles also needed.Let me know if you have parts for sale or a vendor that might carry parts.

Looking for suggestions on possible changing front front end with a more modern suspension. Would like disc brakes etc.

  5. I know this thread is old but i'm new here. My families business had one when i was young.
It was a '55 Ford Vanette LWB with the creaper gear used to haul electrical materials to job sites.
Very Cool ! Do you still have it?
