My opinion.... they look tacky on anything I have seen so far. Like curb feelers and light up hood ornaments.
I'll have to admit, for years I thought the aftermarket visors looked ugly on anything, but like most things in life time changes our prospective. I won't say I will be using one anytime soon but I have seen some cars and trucks they seem to work on,40's and 50's cars and trucks. HRP
Daily driver only vehicle close to 20 years over 100k miles... '49 Chevy 1/2 ton with visor. No ac so that extra bit of help for shielding the sun is very helpful. In addition, I have always liked the way they look.
I love lowrider bombs and they look great on those, or a dressed-up stocker with a side mount spare, looks good there too. Every junkyard wrecker I've seen locally had one on it at one time, so a "professional" truck, maybe. Not feeling it on a hot rod truck with big fat tires and such. For me, it's not a yes or no type of item (never saw a car with chrome reverse wheels that looked bad, never saw a car with late model bucket seats that didn't look like dog****) but to make the visor work, it's gotta be the right style of build.
very few rides look good with visors. most look like a rear wing type spoiler put on wrong end of ride. guess I would call them a "frontend spoiler"
I like them on the '47-'54 Chev pickups, and of course the A's. Don't see to many on the '40-'47 Ford pickups and was hoping to see a few pics of those with visors.
depends on the age and the individual vehicle. i have one on my 40 lasalle. but when i get it to being a reliable daily driver the visor will come off because it blocks my view up high. i'm 6'3 and it makes a difference.
