Who can recommend a good headlight with the turn signal built in. I like the King Bee and Dietz lights, but don't know if they have signals in them. If I ever win the lottery I'll buy some Headwinds. I just want something that is sold as a complete unit and can bolt on after drilling a hole for it. Any advise on taillights would be great too. Thank you!

The good ones with turn signal in the bottom are $180/pr from Chevs of the 40s. Maybe $165 from Yogi's. Speedway's bulb you insert with the H4 is only $15 but hard to see with lights on. Here's VW light in Dietz with H4 headlight, H3 daytime running and small bulb in separate compartment for blinker. I'll dye the top bulb and if it's not bright enough, dye the H3 and make it blinker and top parking light. The first 1/8" showing is a little rough, but it's black plastic with chrome, so any sanding would require wrapping it with 1/8" chrome tape. Just cut the ears off at the right diameter and groove them for the retainer with your cutoff wheel. As there are only three ears at 90* one light was fine but the other required a small piece of plastic shim at the fourth point to even things out.

Your name says Scratch Built, so DO IT. Make your own, buy a neat headlight, and add a marker light to the top. Everybody wants to build a car themself, but buy all the parts. Stole these pics off the HAMB a while baack, homemade and looking good!-MIKE:D ;)

I made mine a little different, I put the light on the side. It's an aftermarket Harley fender light. I had to change the socket in the light so I could put in an 1157 bulb.

Built in signal lights leave a clean look, but your signals should be visable to function best. There's literally tons of small marker lights available at swap meets from older cars. Be creative, like Lost says.

That's a good idea I might just do that. That's the great thing about the HAMB it gives you good ideas. Built the entire car, never even thought about cusomizing some lights. Go figure. Thanks for all the replys.
