That's not trans fluid :D Does it get cold and snow in Missouri ? :D
When it's cold enough outside a vehicle's exhaust will actually make visible white fumes. :)

  10. I'll steal Chip's "Swedish Ninja" photo from his FB page. Hey, it's been below freezing a couple of mornings this month here in the valley! I left Kansas City because it was too dang cold! WTF! :D

  11. Funny story about this....a guy pulls up into my shop driveway the other day, and ask's if I'm John Mummert? I said "No, but the name sounds familiar from someplace?" Turns out his shop is RIGHT next door to mine! I knew someone over there built Y Blocks, but I'd never met him because his shop faces north, and mine faces south. Small world! Merry Christmas everyone!

  13. Merry Christmas guys and a happy and safe new year

  14. So this morning I woke up wondering to myself why there are so many Grabowski T replica's, and so few Ivo T replicas? And when I went to google Tommy Ivo T Bucket clones, look what popped up?

Who knew The Who covered Bucket T (or Barbara Ann, fir that matter)?

  15. That 'Bucket T' song is cool. Thanks for sharing that.

I saw this one yesterday parked in the main street of town...

I know your baiting me Glen.

  18. What… you guys don't like it!?

    Mum.

So anyway, I've listened to that 'Bucket T' song about a dozen times since Blownfuel posted it yesterday and thought there might be a version with some bucket footage edited to go along with the song, but I didn't find anything. I did however find this one that shows The Who recording it…

  19. Man that was certainly a very young Who singing that but in saying that, one would have to be deaf not to hear the harmonization of the four and the talent of Pete Townsend playing the brass instrument.Thankfully they went on to better things musically.
The Bucket in Kerikeri is different take on the basics and I shall not comment as at-least the owner of this one is out and about enjoying it where mine is still locked away in the garage.

  20. Oh, it must be certified too as it has screen washers on the cowl and twin wiper blades but I would like to see how the steering is set up and what box he has used.

  21. Yeah, I love brass instruments and think that's what really draws me to this song. That and the very melodic "bucket bucket, T T, bucket T, bucket T" chorus line. :)

I agree... any bucket being used is a good bucket.

Yeah, I didn't have a that good of a look at it but if I see it again I'll have a closer look.

Keith Moon loved beach/surf music, and this was his idea - the other 3 were humoring Moonie to record this. Moon did not have a great voice but could do an American accent and was not too off key on this song. He was famous for being wildly off key in stage.

Moon on lead vocals is pretty rare - only a couple of other songs I'm aware of ("I Need You" off A Quick One, and "Bell Boy" off Quadrophenia).

Entwhistle played the horn part. Daltry and Townshend are singing backup, and kind of mailing it in.

    Hey gang,

Just a quick stop through to say happy holidays! I've been so busy the last few months, but I promise I haven't completely flown the coupe.... Back soon.

  24. Prefer Jan & Dean's, or even Ronny and the Daytona's versions. Surf music is a little out of The Who's wheelhouse.

He also had a T Bucket. Used to pull wheelies outside the local supermarket.
