That is YOU putting your words on me. Go back and read everything that I wrote and you will see that I said no such thing.

All I did was make the point that having an engine that makes more torque in the actual cruse RPM is more useful than one that makes less torque there, in favor of making more at a higher RPM.

Here, let me quote myself: "If you build an engine that makes 550lb.-ft. of torque at 5500RPM, and your cruise RPM is 2250, where the engine makes 210lb.-ft., you might not be too happy with you cam choice. You lose bragging rights if it only makes 475lb.-ft. at 5500RPM, but if it makes 310lb.-ft. at 2250, you will be a lot happier."

If you want to sound important by ascribing meaning to my words that is simply not there, then go right ahead. There is nothing I can do to stop you. That's all on you.

Simply put... The thumpr is comparable to an RV cam (not worth changing IMO)... You'll want to go with the Mother Thumpr for the extra kick

i have a thumper cam in my 34, has a 460 w/boss heads, awsom sound, like a funny car. Porkbeaner, in 50's i had a 50 ford and no money for a cam so at the drive in i would take off my vacuum wiper hose and with the smithy steel packs it sounded like a hot cam, call it a 'airlik' cam...
