I've been looking at brake booster setups that fit in the stock position, and they all seem to say "for automatic transmissions". Does anyone know where a can find one to work with my truck? What does the clutch pedal have to do with my brakes?
NAPA can get the orginal style master cylinder,it is an 1 1/4" for the trucks. and they can most likely get you a recon hydro-vac,if not power brake in Stockton can rebuild or core yours out.
The stock set up has a master cylinder and a separate remote hydro-vac unit. I will be ordering new hydro-vac units soon if you need one or want to convert to a dual circuit brake system. PM me if interested or have questions. Jim Ford Highway 101 Rod and Custom
Fellow HAMBers,,,,This poster has not learned to post full details on the truck he is working on.. He has two different threads already deleted...His truck,a 49 2-ton Chev,is no way no how HAMB material..
Only one by my count... But you are correct. My truck has been deemed too big, despite being initially accepted here on the HAMB. There will be no more threads started or posts made about this truck.
Jim Ford can get you a brand new dual remote booster. Run that with a dual circuit master cylinder and you will stop smooth and safe.
