Got this car about 6 months ago. I have changed a lot on it, painted single stage black, and changed wheels. Just wondering which set looks the best? I like both! On the black wheels I'm going to get taller tires if I keep them. A few more changes I want to make later are a full hood and bigger head lights. Thanks

Black looks better. More nostalgic and traditional old school.
Billet look like the 1980's and looked nice back then.

The black wheels are spot on, so are the tire sizes. Re think the larger tires...nice sinister looking coupe.

    I like them both....
you can have more than one set, just change back and forth as you feel it.

Like everyone else, black wheels. Big lights are a plus on fenderless rides. Going the right direction for sure.

You say you're planning hood sides, I think once that's done, then the black wheels will fit nicely. Not that I dislike your engine, but era-wise, it doesn't quite mesh with the black wheels, it'll work better with a hood.

Grey spoke torq-thrusts would also look nice in the size of your current mags, with or without hood sides.

This is my 32. I'm currently running the steelies, but I like the look of the aluminum wheels too. I plan on swapping around from time to time.

    Nice car.
Black rims without a doubt !
Those rear wheels don't look very traditional with those extra large 'slots'. Look to modern, - just my opinion.
Bigger headlights will help, so will a full hood.

I'd go with the black wheels if you want the traditional look. 2015-12-23 14.16.39.jpg

change them often, like women change shoes, depending on the occasion.

my opinion; black rims, full hubcaps, full hood, bobbed rear fenders, cycle type fronts and leave the small lights but mount them higher.

If those polished wheels were grey magnesium that would be killer.

I personally like the black wheels however if the shiny wheels were bead blasted for a flat cast look they'd look good. Definitely bigger headlamps.

I wouldn't trade a set of ET-3 and halibrands for some painted smoothie wheels cause everyone calls it "more traditional"

You have four bar and some later mods Those shiney wheels go well with the rest of the car .. it looks mean... I'd paint some little king bees black and put hood sides on if you want to ....but it looks 60s sinister from the pics I see
