I am running 670-15 whitewalls on my 56 Customline on the front LOL (skinny whites on the rear). I found some 750-14 whitewalls with the 14" steel wheels and nice dog dish caps for a great deal. The two tire diameters are about the same. The wheels are off a 51 Ford. See any issue moving down to the 14" wheel? Is anybody running 14" on a 55 or 56 ford car?

Then go to the later Torino or Granada wheels.

Yep, but he was asking specifically about '51 wheels, not 14's in general.

Pretty sure the stock wheels on my 51 were 15 inchers. If you got 14s off a 51 going to guess they weren't original equipment. Almost 100% sure 57 was the first year of 14 inchers on Fords, someone correct me if am wrong.
