Building a 1953 Ford Customline. It currently has a linked rear end with a 8.8 being installed and being prepped to have a Fatman front stub on coil overs. I have a 427 on order from fordstrokers.com that should be here soon. Where is the best place to look for TKO 600 transmission. What motor mounts should I look into. What exhaust is recommended. I also need to do the interior I would like to find a decent set of buckets that a mix between comfort and sport. Where should I look for other interior pieces. For wheel and tire does anyone know the widest tire that can fit inside the rear wells. Thanks.
Cool ride, soon to be more Cool. recent thread talked about using early 60's T-Bird seats, and some used Galaxie seats - worth looking at. to figure out wheels need measurements of new set up. dropping the big block in with trans upgrade might need custom mounts. also, take a look at Speedway Motors FE Series motor mounts. post more pics
Those cars are pretty hard to get much rubber under. Helping a friend with his 54 Vic...got a bad *** sbf and a 5 speed. He ad springs re worked with 2" lowering blacks added. He quickly discovered how hard it was to pull his stock wheels rims with stock sized bias plys off
