Picked up several goodies at Turkey Rod run in Daytona today.
Radio box for a roof mounted stereo.
Outside door mirrors, 4" peep, convex gl*** for p***enger side.
Front park/turn signal LED's to mount inside the lamps.
    Tag light bolts.

Looked for carpet and door panels, or material to make them, nobody had anything I could find.

I did bump into my man Tim Davis from Clarke Hot Rods who had a display up. One of his ch***is's, his personal cars, a model T pickup in restored condition and his red roadster. Along with an all steel after market 32 5 window couple body, brand new. $21,500. Super nice piece, accepts all the original interior components, has all the factory tabs, dimensions, etc. Actually quite a deal after seeing what's involved in fabbing stuff to fit in the custom world.

Thanks man! I'm getting things done by hand. But it would sure be nice to have any type of metal working tool around other than a die grinder, cut off wheels and a welder. lol
A lot of what little things I've "fabricated," have been done without the aid of a band saw, drill press, chop saw, metal brake, etc.

So far I'm satisfied, but feeling limited.

Know the feeling of sitting there grinding away with a dremel tool and files thinking there has to be a tool to do this.

    Installed the outside mirrors.

Also, came home from work to a package from Downs. New header panel and windshield!

Ok, so my windshield arrived from Downs, beautiful job by the way. But since it doesn't fit my car I suppose it isn't a Downs body like I was told. Hmmmm

Can't send it back, so if anyone needs a 3.5 inch chopped Vicky windshield, or ha a downs body, lmk.

Seems like it's always something. At least I got my panel installed and moved along with a little more of the wiring...some good stuff is happening.

Once my cooling fans are wired this week, battery cables and ground straps go in and it fires up!
Should be this weekend after Christmas. I'll make a vid.

I got the parking/turn signal lights mounted up. Might paint the brackets sliver though, not sure.

Today I installed more connectors into the light harnesses. All weather tight sealed connectors, inside and out. This car will NOT have electrical problems!

Ok, fired the engine up, kicked right off, only had to advance the timing a little.
Two videos, one start and one running at speed to break in the cam.

    Woohoooo! !
    Congratulations!
Paint the brackets, IMHO, the black stands out too much.
    Merry Christmas

Thanks guys. I agree, they need some bright silver after looking at them quite a bit.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all you H.A.M.B.'s!

Thanks! Now it's time to get the carb settings and timing a little better and work on some exhaust. Install the seats (they're mint green cloth now) and I can drive it.

Need to get serious about sorting out the interior as well. I can do the carpet and door panel base boards. Then I'll have a pro do the upholstery and headliner.

Ok, windshield is fixed. A Winter Garden gl*** shop owner came down and cut, then installed it on the spot.

Then started testing the lights and painted the park lamp brackets silver. A few more under dash wires and the dash goes in this weekend!

    Exhaust, hmmmm......

What kits are most using for exhaust?

    What about carpet?

I see tons of stuff on EBay, but I'm growing weary of reengineering what would otherwise be junk.

Painted the park light brackets silver now.

    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1451779126.659225.jpg

With wiring finalized other than a couple harness touch ups for appearance, Dash went in. Just needs a sand and polish in a few spots.

    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1451779170.547376.jpg

Seats are going in, didn't complete them today. Eventually, when money allows, they will be charcoal, not mint green.
Have to make stand offs for the rear of both seats.

Interesting ghost lettering on the lower dash panel. Are you subliminally trying to say it cost a lot of $$$ to build this hot rod?

Exactly! Wanted to do something to keep it from being all solid black, but have it subtle. Had a vision, lol.

    Exhaust going in.

    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1452982799.693927.jpg

Exhaust completed. Might add a crossover pipe, since it sounds like a boat with the stainless gl*** packs. Worst case scenario is different mufflers.
