Well after a lot of bargain shopping for brackets, etc I have A/C in my '54 :D For a retro look I picked up a '65 Mustang under dash unit, brackets and compressor and condenser from a '67 Mustang and changed to a 134a expansion valve had had a local A/C shop make the hoses,so for a little under $300 total she is blowing 36 degree air at 82-85 outside temps within minutes. in AZ!

Cool:cool: Those Mustangs seem to provide a lot of parts for our cars. Does it effect engine cooling much?

I am running a 16" electric fan with a full aluminum shroud no problem with cooling,I never had much luck with previous cars running mechanical fans and A/C here in Phoenix, once I went electric I was sold.

I'll see if I can post some pics later right now the interior is stripped, now that the weather is cooling I can start on the insulation and carpeting and T-Bird console install.

Nice, my grandpa had that same unit in his 289 powered 58 ranchero, very cool, literally.
