My 46 just as I began bodywork

 

34 Chevy we worked on a while back. HRP

 

I've only done a little blasting at my place, but when I did, I just grabbed a couple 5 gallon buckets of sand from the beach down the road and sifted it really well. It worked good and stripped it fast. When I get a chance, i'm gonna do my floors (or what's left of them).

I used 3000lbs on my 53 chevy truck but sandblasted every bit of it ...

before & after, right rear fender was full of holes & had a very poor addition of a taillight at one time. 1940 Standards didnt come with a right taillight

This is the body of my '54 when it came back from blasting.



And this is it back together somewhat. The doors, deckled, hood, and fenders, etc that I could unbolt, I had acid dipped. was too expensive to dip the body.



And this is my A bare metal. It's a Brookville, so I didn't have to go through stripping this one.

 

A couple in progress right now.

 

I hate sandblasting! Did mine the easy way, dipped and phosphate'd!
