Hi guys I haven't posted much as of late partly because I sold my toys to pay for the adoption of our 2 kids, and have been wanting to get something going again relatively soon. Like a lot of folks out there I would love to get my first real Hot Rod back!!! The car was sold to an older gentleman in Iowa, if I remember right he was a retired iron worker. But I'm guessing he showed and cruised it quite a bit because he couldn't get the money out of his pocket fast enough and drove it all the way home from Chicagoland!! A few details that might make the car stand out-granted they could be changed out, sold or who knows... 50 Chevy long roof white roof/metallic blue body 235 fully detailed and chromed Lowered with wide whites, steelers and spider caps NOS Hurst shifter on the floor "Miss Misery" on the skirts Lake pipes hooked up-awesome sound!! Old Fulton visor And the list goes on and on..... If anybody knows the owner or knows what happened to the car could you please please please get me his phone number or I can give him mine. I would love to get the car back, but would settle just to know it's still out there cruising and drawing a crowd!!! THANKS FOR THE HELP, hopefully somebody knows about this car!!!
And the last pic was the motor, at the 9th Hunnert Car Pileup it was photographed and made a small pic in Hot Rod Delux!!!
That is a sweet ride. I haven't seen it but I can see why you'd want it back. I love my 51. These chevies get under your skin and stay with you.
You might want to check in over at ChevyTalk.Org, in the 49-54 forum, to see if anyone there has any info. And now, just a "IMO statement"; no one should have to "pay" to adopt a child. It is one of the biggest sacrifices a person can make, and one of the most crucial; money should't even be part of the equation. You've done an honorable thing, and twice! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
I agree Butch and if I told you how much we spent between fertility and adoption process you would probably have to change yer drawers!!! But it was the best money we have ever spent!!! Anybody in the Iowa area seen this old gal?? I seriously doubt that the new owner bought it just to have it sit in a garage...
